Jacob Windeler will receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in May of 2022. He is a Texas native and 2018 graduate of Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. He began his ballet training at the age of 10 and was fortunate enough to have trained under a number of accomplished dance teachers including Olga Pavlova and Jeff Amsden. 

 

Jacob attended numerous summer intensives including; Joffery Ballet Summer Dance Intensive, Complexions, NYCDA Summer Dance Intensive, University of Arizona Jazz Showcase, Soul Escape and The Juilliard Summer Intensive. He was awarded the 2017 George Skibine Memorial Scholarship from the Dance Council of North Texas and was a 2018 NYCDA Foundation Scholarship winner.

 

Prior to entering Boston Conservatory, Jacob had performed in a number of stage events including Dancers Give Back Dallas, 2017 NYCDA Destiny Rising at the Joyce Theater in NYC and Wanderlust Dance Project at the Majestic Theater in Dallas, TX. He has performed the works of Andy Pellick, Troy Powell, Brian Stevens, Grace Buckley, Martha Nichols, Joey Dowling, Suzy Taylor, Dana Metz, Jonathan Campbell, William Isaac, Zack Tangalang and Kevin Pajarillaga.

 

At the Boston Conservatory he has performed in main stage showings of From the Ground Up, Winterworks and Limitless performing the works of Maleek Washington, Margo Sappington, Mira Goksel, Ruka White and Jarek Camerek. Jacob also had the amazing opportunity to be the first male dancer to perform “Step out of Love” choreographed by Margo Sappington, originally set on Hubbard Street Dance Chicago in 1988.

 

He made his choreographic debut January 2022, with his piece Foreign Affliction in the Senior Choreographers Concert: Interludes.
